To Tell or Not To Tell

Some things I just do not need to be shared. I have been sitting on this for a few days trying to decide if I blog this or not. I will share since help tends to come from the must unexpected places.

This past Friday (I knew last Tuesday) I was given a 60 day notice. That means I have until 2/10/09 to find another job within the company or I am layed off. Me and several hundred other folks are looking so there will be a lot of competiion for the few jobs currently open.

On a Quilty Note. I finished binding the golf quilt. Now to bind the fuschia quilt.

It's a bit hard to take at first. I know because I've been there. It is like the stages of grief: shock & denial, pain & guilt, anger, and depression/loneliness. After all, work has been a part of your life for a long time and your co-workers seem like family. Hang in there though, because you will get to a point where there is an upward turn. Good luck.

Swooze, I know you're not that surprised because you talked to me about it and kind of been expecting this but....it's still kind of a shock for them to actually put it into words. You just keep hoping and praying it will go away and not really happen. I know from experience. It's hard and I will keep you in my prayers and I'll keep my eyes and ears open for you too. Hugs, Linda

I am sorry to hear about the lay off. I do hope you find something. These are some hard times and everyone needs to be very thankful that they have a job. I wouldn't know what to do. Thoughts and prayers to you.

I am so sorry. We are downsizing too, nurses and therapists are being laid off all around us. I pray for just the right job to land in your lap.

Good luck with the job hunt. This economy is so lousy right now. So far, no job losses here where I work, but we are all be required to take some days without pay.

Goodness. I'm sending you good warm thoughts to support you here. We are all in this together I do believe. At times like this I really feel closer to "we are all one" because everyone is touched in some way. So again, sending you lots of good support and hoping you'll continue to keep us posted. *karendianne.

Dear Swooze
I am thinking of you!! One of the hardest things is to actually tell someone what has happened and now that you have....you can continue on and stride forward as I am sure that you will. Dh and I have been there, done that too, and we soldiered on and got through it ok. Here's hoping there's an open door around the corner for you.
Cheers
Eva
