I’m trying to not over make units for my chevron row. After I sewed what I had cut I inventoried and cut a little more. Still a little more cutting then my units will be done!
I started this quilt on New Years Eve and is my highest number UFO.

You are smart to make a few and see what you still need to cut and sew. I always just cut without any counting and either end up short or have way too much cut.
I am "sewing" with a drill, nail gun, and a miter saw these days. I should be able to get back to the sewing machine this weekend.
Very wise approach. Yes, I'm sewing on a regular basis. I'm trying to finish a few quilts (maybe one, actually) by the end of the month. I'm also trying to not buy any fabric this month. I've been strong so far... but I still have 4 days left. I'm looking forward to seeing the quilt put together.
