Weeeeellllll -it certainly is a bordered star, but I can't quite see an idea or color or ???? carried throughout. Maybe it's the colors on the 'puter, but hmmmmm.
Not thrilled with the green squares - maybe a bit of applique could help them... (I do like the braid...) The last "round" is that 2 blues? not sure about that one either, although I do like that it went back to your blue...
Caveat, I am usually not to thrilled with round robin results...
Don't know if it is the colours on the pc monitor, but I really don't think the outer borders match up with each other or with the star centre. It looks a bit of a dog's breakfast as we say here in the UK (translation, a mess). Removing the blue borders would help a lot.
I think the braid border should have gone all the way around and not have the green blocks. For some reason outside of the center block, it does not look square, maybe it is the way it is lying. I think the last border is out of place and I would have used one of the fabrics from the center block (i.e. red or the red/green).
Somehow the borders don't much relate to your center, especially the final ligher blue one. Were those two blue 'strips' done by two different people? Wow -- doesn't look like they put much effort into their rounds. At least the braids involved some actual sewing ... but even that border somehow doesn't look complete because of the plain green squares.
If I were you, I'd probably take your original star out of the center and do something else with it. Sigh -- you win some and you lose some ...
each addition is interesting in its own right, but none of them seem to have anything at all to do with your center block. what was the criteria for the additions?
It sorta looks like the last RR I took part in--I just didn't "feel the love" in it. Mine got taken apart and redone. The braids would be nice as the start of a strippy quilt, w/o the green squares! Ah well, the center block is lovely!
I agree with much of what has already been said. Apart from the first round (the star) the other rounds don't seem to relate to the centre or each other. I would unpick and assign the pieces into orphan blocks (braid) and scraps. What a shame :)
I like the first addition, which I assume turned it into a star. The second was a great idea, the colours should have been darker. The outside ones should have stayed on the green and red theme and are really just border strips.

Love the center block! But after that.... The braids are nice, but just don't go with this at all. I agree with the others. Take it apart and add your own touch. I know you can do a much better job than this bunch did.
I like the center. I am not sure if the camera took accurate colors but the braided border appears to be a little off color from the center and the last addition, even though it goes with the center, I think a row of "star snowflakes" all around would have pulled the look together. I have been in many round robins and I must say I would have a bit dissapointed. no one used the light background color in the theme either to group the colors.
Goodness!!! To be honest if it was mine I would through it in the corner and hide it!!! BUT - maybe later - I would pull it apart and use the bits for other projects

Interesting.......
LOVE that center square in a star! I've never seen that - it's so cool!

Sorry.

I think I wouldn't do projects with these people again. Looks like they were in a great big hurry.

I think, honestly, if it were my cute center square, I would cry.
