I had a finish! I joined a round robin on quiltsbykos since I have become....er....uh....addicted to them. I had to add a 2 or 3" border. I have wanted to do a checkerboard pattern but felt it needed something more. My friend suggested a flange so I added that too.

Isn't there a word for that? when you pretend your real problem (UFOs) doesn't exist by focusing on some artificial challenge (RRs)... :) But I know the satisfaction of beating a deadline, and the wonderful relief afterwards when you feel free to do what you want (until the next self-imposed deadline...)
How do you do that flange thing? I've seen it done before but I need instructions.
